Every card in Tongits carries a point value that works against you if it stays in your hand when the round ends. Number cards count at face value — a 7 of spades is 7 points. Face cards (Jack, Queen, King) each carry 10 points, and Aces count as 1. Your goal is to shed high-value cards through valid melds: sets of
